Naturally, small cards feel super sturdy printed on this chunky 24pt natural kraft chipboard. Small business cards, skinny cards, jewellery tags, trading cards, square cards and all sorts of mini cards fit into this category. If you don't find the size you are looking for in our list of standard sizes, simply submit a custom quote request by clicking the button above. Chipboard 24pt small cards are printed in full colour on the latest Hewlett Packard Indigo press that produces accurate and consistent colour on multiple card orders as well as future reorders. Additionally, we offer an optional spot white ink to back up and enhance the colours of your artwork or to use on its own for graphic elements or text. Because the spot white ink is printed before the full colour process inks, you have the option to print your colours on top of the white, giving them an extra boost of brightness compared to just printing your full colour inks directly on the chipboard.
When you print your small cards on this natural kraft 24pt chipboard, know that your cards are produced on a 100% post-consumer stock made from recycled paper being 100% tree-free.
So take a deep breath, find your centre and embrace the inconsistencies in colour, appearance and surface that occurs from card to card on this recycled chipboard stock. We know mother nature loves variance and randomness making this a natural selection.
Should I Use Small Text With Light Coverage On Natural Kraft Cards?
The text in the supplied file uses a very small point size, which due to the lower halftone resolution used with indigo printing, could cause the type to appear “broken-up” or make it illegible. For best results with small type, we recommend using 100% K black as opposed to grey.
Can I Use Rich Black With Indigo Printing?
Don't use rich black on Indigo printing, it can cause issues with misregistration. 100% K will be just fine. If using grey, a black-ink only grey will give also give you best results.
How Can I Indicate Spot White Layer?
For spot white printing, we require you supply a separate additional page showing the spot white areas (eg: images, text etc.).
Will Spot White And CMYK Layers Align Perfectly?
Tightly registered detail using Spot White can cause 'haloing', where the spot white might not exactly align with the CMYK elements. Anywhere that the white and CMYK tightly register and end together should be avoided.
Are There Any Colours I Should Avoid With Natural Kraft Cards?
Because this is a coloured stock, some colours are hard to read (like yellow/oranges, med browns, greens). If you are concerned that your colour won't be visible, please request a hard copy proof.
What Is The Minimum Font Size For Natural Kraft Cards?
The minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a Black Ink Only version; if Black, use 100% K.
Can I Use Thin Lines With Natural Kraft Cards?
Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.
Is Indigo Resolution Different From Offset?
There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.
Can I Round Corners With Heavy Coverage On Natural Kraft Cards?
Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. This can be an issue for corner rounding so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.
