Don't expect perfect coverage when ink extends over the fold line. Toner can crack along that edge, so if that is a concern we recommend avoiding any ink coverage over the fold line.

Our digitally printed envelopes are no bleed, so must have a 1/4" white border around the edge. You can print on the flap however! If you need full bleed envelopes, please consider one of our offset printed options.

Be sure to take advantage of viewing a hard-copy printed proof for this product. This gives you a chance to see how the colours and finishes turn out before running your entire project. You can request one in the calculator while placing an order.

Sometimes gradients aren't as smooth in print as they are on screen. Request a printed proof when placing your order so you can see first hand how it will turn out prior to production.

Unlike offset, we recommend using a 100% K build for black, and black only values for greys. This ensures the crispest edges and a neutral grey.

As with all digital printing, we use a dry polymer based toner, which sits on top of the stock instead of soaking into the stock like a traditional ink. So using full/heavy coverage will cause the stock to look slightly shinny and will give a similar appear to a coated stock. We recommend the uncoated stock for artwork that uses minimal ink coverage and allow the stock to show through.

Compared to an uncoated stock that is printed using wet inks, the printed areas can appear a bit shiny or coated depending on the coverage. This is becuase the toner is fused to the surface of the stock and is not absorbed like ink. We recommend requesting a proof if customers are unsure about this appearance.

For great blue results we recommend a 30% difference between your Cyan and Magenta levels to ensure a nice rich dark blue, rather than purple.
