Rack cards printed on uncoated card stocks don't always feel sturdy; due to their size and length, they tend to flop over. When you choose this 22pt thick uncoated card stock, your rack card will not only have a substantial and stiff feel, you will also get a smooth, bright white stock for rack cards that have a subtle and elegant matte finish.
Clubcard Vancouver will print your 4" x 9", 4.25" x 11" or custom size rack cards on this 22pt (160lb) Cougar stock using the most advanced Indigo printing technology in order to achieve beautiful images and consistent colour every time you print your rack cards.
Heavy Coverage? Think Twice
Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. Heavy coverage makes this more apparent. This can also be an issue for corner rounding, so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.
Small Fonts Aren't Good
The minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a black ink only version; if black, use 100% K.
Thin Lines Aren't Good
Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.
Indigo Resolution Is Different Than Offset
There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.
Minimum Line Thickness Of 0.5pt
Try to keep all line weights for graphics over 0.5pt. Anything under that can break up in the texture of the stipple.
For Small Elements, Simple Colour Builds Are Better
When working with small elements like lines or text, a simpler colour build is best to avoid misregistration. For example, 0/0/0/90 is a much better build than 20/20/20/40.
