If you are concerned about colour, be sure to request a printed proof for this product. This gives you a chance to see how the colours and finish turns out before we print your project.

Sometimes gradents aren't as smooth in print as they are on screen. Request a printed proof when placing your order so you can see first hand how it will turn out prior to production.

Unlike offset, we recommend using a 100% K build for black, and black only values for greys. This ensures the crispest edges and a neutral grey.

As with all digital printing we use a dry polymer based toner, which sits on top of the stock instead of soaking into the stock like a traditional ink. So using full/heavy coverage will cause the stock to look slightly shiny and will give a similar appearance to a coated stock. We recommend the uncoated stock for artwork that uses minimal ink coverage and allow the stock to show through. If using solid fills and heavy coverage, the C2S is probably going to be a better option.

Compared to an uncoated stock that is printed using wet inks, the printed areas can appear a bit shiny or coated depending on the coverage. This is because the toner is fused to the surface of the stock and is not absorbed like ink. Recommend requesting a proof if you are unsure about this appearance.

Depending on artwork, it may print better on Uncoated, or Coated stocks. For artwork with a lot of white or empty space, we would generally recommend an uncoated stock. For artwork with full and/or heavy coverage, we will recommend a coated stock (C2S). For artwork with heavy coverage on one side, and a lot of white space on the other, we would recommend a coated 1 side stock (C1S).

For great blue results, we recommend a 30% difference between your Cyan and Magenta levels to ensure a nice rich dark blue, rather than purple.

It is common to see "frayed / rough edges" on uncoated stocks, especially with ink coverage that extends to the edge of the cards, when a stock is not coated the fibers can break loose when trimmed. Choosing a coated or laminated card will help avoid this issue.

Write up a storm! Unlike our coated options, these cards work perfect as stamp cards, appointment cards, or a business card that you can scrawl a note across the back. You've found a match.

The paper stock is a little bit grainier than other stocks, so if you are looking for very sharp text this might not be the best paper stock for that or graphics that require razer sharp edges.
