Printing bookmarks on this 100% recycled post-consumer content uncoated 15pt card stock is a simple way to make an environmentally-friendly printing choice.
You don't have to love patchouli to appreciate that post-consumer card stock is made from paper fibers collected from the recycling flow, safely de-inked and made into high-quality paper.
Your bookmarks are be printed on this supers smooth bright white Classic Crest cardstock in full colour on a hybrid Indigo press that combines offset and digital printing techniques, allowing for fast production times and great colour fidelity on thick and sturdy 100% recycled card stock. Indigo printing is great for small to medium size orders, multiple bookmark projects, colour consistent re-orders and projects with solid areas of ink coverage.
Need to be able to write on your 15pt uncoated bookmarks? Well, you can very easily with a pen or a pencil without running the risk of it smudging.
Heavy Coverage? Think Twice
Heavy ink coverage can be problematic. When the cards rub together, the ink can rub off. Heavy coverage makes this more apparent. This can also be an issue for corner rounding, so we generally advise clients with heavy coverage not to round corners.
Small Fonts Aren't Good
The minimum recommended text size is 6pt. With any small text, if grey use a black ink only version; if Black, use 100% K.
Thin Lines Aren't Good
Anything thinner than a hairline stroke (0.25") - even at 100% K may look choppy when printed due to Indigo print resolution.
Indigo Resolution Is Different Than Offset
There is a screen to the Indigo print which customers should be aware of if they're comparing to traditional offset printing.
Minimum Line Thickness Of 0.5pt
Try to keep all line weights for graphics over 0.5pt. Anything under that can break up in the texture of the stipple.
For Small Elements, Simple Colour Builds Are Better
When working with small elements like lines or text, a simpler colour build is best to avoid misregistration. For example, 0/0/0/90 is a much better build than 20/20/20/40.
