We want you to be 100% satisfied and happy with your Desert Storm postcards so we suggest ordering a PDF layout proof, a colour press, or a photo proof on every order.  This way, you see exactly what your art will look like on this kraft card stock before we print your full order.

Yes, we print postcards in custom sizes: Just order a standard size that fits your custom size and indicate the details in your order notes.

Can I Get A Colour Proof For 12pt Kraft Cards?

If you are concerned about colour, be sure to request a printed proof for this product. This gives you a chance to see how the colours and finish turn out before we print your project.

Will Gradients Show Banding On 12pt Kraft Cards?

Sometimes gradients aren't as smooth in print as they are on screen. Request a printed proof when placing your order, so you can see first hand how it will turn out prior to production.

Should I Use Small Text With 12pt Kraft Cards?

The paper stock is a little bit grainier than other stocks, so if you are looking for very sharp text, this might not be the best paper stock for that or graphics that require razer sharp edges.

What Values Should I Use For Black And Grey Colours?

Unlike offset, we recommend using a 100% K build for black, and black only values for greys. This ensures the crispest edges and a neutral grey.

What Should I Use 12pt Kraft Card Stock For?

As with all digital printing, we use a dry polymer based toner, which sits on top of the stock instead of soaking into the stock like a traditional ink. So using full/heavy coverage will cause the stock to look slightly shinny and will give a similar appear to a coated stock. We recommend the uncoated stock for artwork that uses minimal ink coverage and allow the stock to show through. If using solid fills and heavy coverage, the C2S is probably going to be a better option.

What Is The Difference Between Digital Toner And Offset Ink?

Compared to an uncoated stock that is printed using wet inks, the printed areas can appear a bit shiny or coated depending on the coverage. This is becuase the toner is fused to the surface of the stock and is not absorbed like ink. We recommend requesting a proof if customers are unsure about this appearance.

What Is The Difference Between C1S vs. C2S vs. Uncoated?

Depending on artwork, it may print better on Uncoated, or Coated stocks. For artwork with a lot of white or empty space, we would generally recommend an uncoated stock. For artwork with full and/or heavy coverage, we will recommend a coated stock (C2S). For artwork with heavy coverage on one side, and a lot of white space on the other, we would recommend a coated 1 side stock (C1S).

Is There Colour Variation On Solid Blue?

For great blue results, we recommend a 30% difference between your Cyan and Magenta levels to ensure a nice rich dark blue, rather than purple.

Can 12pt Kraft Cards Have Frayed edges?

It is common to see "frayed / rough edges" on uncoated stocks, especially with ink coverage that exteds to the edg of the cards, when a stock is not coated the fibres can break loose when trimmed. Choosing a coated or laminated card will help avoid this issue.

Can I Write On 12pt Kraft Cards?

Write up a storm! Unlike our coated options, these cards work perfect as stamp cards, appointment cards, or a business card that you can scrawl a note across the back. You've found a match.
